Treatments after liposuction

After liposuction

It is worth to realize that the process of body modeling does not end with the liposuction procedure. Achieving the optimal treatment effect lasts several months. And it is the post-procedural behaviour and the patient’s compliance with the doctor’s instructions that has a key role in the lasting result. It should be remembered that after removal of the adipose tissue from under the skin there may be an effect of its “excess” in the form of unattractive wrinkles and overhangs. Therefore, our philosophy is to use many methods that stimulate connective tissue and skin, improve lymphatic flow and neovascularization, which ultimately support the shrinking of the skin and help achieve the best possible end result in patients after liposuction.

Carbosytheraphy
Carboxytherapy is a method that uses carbon dioxide CO2 for therapeutic purposes. Carboxytherapy treatments are used in aesthetic medicine as well as in therapeutic procedures. Carbon dioxide CO2 is administered through a special device by intradermal or subcutaneous route. Injected under the skin, CO2 increases the blood supply to the area, creating microcirculation, which results in better skin nourishment, stimulation and creation of new collagen fibers. Additionally, it uses lipolytic or “defattening” action. Carboxytherapy one of the best treatments used after liposuction.

Endodermolipolytic massage
This treatment affects the skin and subcutaneous connective tissue through the use of precise mechanical massage with the simultaneous use of vacuum, infrared heating system and current in the radio frequency (RF). It is an effective massage improving the condition of the skin after liposuction. Its action is based on 4 mechanisms:
• Mechanical massage – improves lymphatic drainage, releases and massages all kinds of deposits, corresponding to inequalities and cellulite. In addition, by activating the skin over the new body shape, she helps to adjust to it.
• Radiofrequency (RF) – radio frequencies penetrating to a depth of 2-3 cm. It makes the fibrous layers of the skin and subcutaneous tissue responsible for the firmness and elasticity of the skin stimulated for the synthesis of new collagen.
• Infrared (IR) rays – they cause heating of the skin and subcutaneous tissue and additionally stimulate cells to produce collagen. In addition, they increase blood circulation, oxygenation and metabolism in the treated areas.
• Vacuum massage – sucking up the skin improves blood circulation, stimulates metabolism and facilitates the removal of adipose tissue and cellulite deposits.

Pressotherapy

Presotherapy is a type of lymphatic massage. Thanks to the appropriately exerted pressure on tissues such as skin, subcutaneous tissue, lower limb muscles, it helps to remove the excess of lymph accumulated in the limbs. In addition, in the areas subjected to liposuction treatment it may accelerate the excretion of broken fat deposits. Thanks to this, it can be used as an element complementing liposuction procedures on the lower limbs. In this case, the action of pressotherapy will be aimed at accelerating the regeneration of the lower limb lymphatic vessels, removing excess lymph, and thus will shorten the period of convalescence.

Lymphatic drainage

Manual lymphatic drainage is a special type of massage that supports the flow of lymph in the subcutaneous tissue. This therapy aims to reduce swelling occurring as soon as possible after the procedure, as well as to move damaged tissues around to accelerate their regeneration. It is performed already around 5-6 days after surgery. It causes faster healing, makes the discomfort accompanying the treatment shorter and allows to shorten the time of convalescence. Its use results in a faster achievement of treatment effects, which are usually more satisfactory for the patient and more durable.

Cryolipolysis

Cryolipolysis causes changes within the adipocytes (fat cells) leading to their killing and, consequently, to reducing the volume of a certain fragment of subcutaneous fat. At the same time, all other important structures within the subcutaneous tissue, such as blood vessels and nerves, remain virtually intact. The results of the study confirm that even after 1 treatment session you can get up to 25% reduction in the thickness of the area subjected to the treatment of the so-called “Caliper”. This procedure can be used to remove small fat accumulations, not requiring liposuction procedure and as a method of treating inequities remaining, for example after injuries or other treatments.
It is difficult to determine the number and duration of the session before achieving the desired effect, because depending on the exact structure, slightly different in each of us, fat tissue can react differently. In some patients the effect will be slightly more intense than in others. The time of the procedure can be adjusted as precisely as possible individually to the patient, and its essence is sucking skin covered with special antifreeze membrane between 2 metal cooling plates of the vacuum head of the cryo device. This results in the removal of almost all heat energy from fat cells, initiating such strong changes that it causes cell death, and their content is gradually removed by physiological metabolic pathways, which is why you have to wait up to 4-6 weeks for the final effect.

Ultrasonic

Cavitation
When we operate on the tissue with ultrasound energy, after appropriate selection of parameters, it is possible to induce in the area of e.g. subcutaneous fat the phenomenon of so-called cavitation. This means the appearance of microbubbles which, if collapsed, damage adipocytes, i.e. fat cells. Later, their content is naturally removed from the body via hepatic metabolism and kidneys. The treatment has only limited effect and can be used, for example, in patients who have slight unevenness after liposuction to eliminate them.

Cold Laser

The device available in our clinic has special heads emitting light with a length of 650 nm. The laser generates a beam in the so-called column form, which increases the amount of fat released and increases the effectiveness of the treatment, but at the same time does not create a risk of inequality and prevents excessive loosening of the skin. The beam reaches deep into the skin and is further directed to fat cells in which a natural chemical reaction takes place. It causes the degradation of triglycerides to free fatty acids and glycerol, which are removed naturally from the body. This process can be additionally supported by a massage that improves lymphatic circulation. Laser operation does not damage neighboring tissues and blood vessels.

RF multi-polar

The multipolar radio frequency current works at a depth of up to 3cm, heating tissues to 40-60 ° C, which leads to a selective increase in the temperature of skin cells and subcutaneous tissue and the extracellular matrix within which collagen fibers are produced. Focused heating results in contraction of the fibers, causing a marked improvement in skin tone, and at the same time increases the metabolism of fibroblasts and stimulates them to multiplication, accelerating the intradermal production of new collagen and elastin fibers.

In our work, we are guided primarily by the good of patients and the desire to improve their quality of life.
